“I find joy in capturing the raw and the real, the depth of character etched into faces and the untold stories hearts carry. When you truly look at someone, their spirit and resilience become almost tangible, like poetry engraved within their features. We, along with all of creation, are masterpieces of unimaginable artistry. There is something profoundly beautiful and sacred about preserving that truth through photography.”
While I call the rural landscapes of East Devon home, my work in humanitarian portraiture has taken me far beyond. Through my lens, I strive to document human strength, dignity, and the quiet stories that often go untold. Whether in the heart of a bustling city or the solitude of forgotten places, I seek to capture the depth and resilience of the human experience in every photograph.
My journey into photography began around five years ago, shaped by a childhood spent immersed in creativity. Homeschooled throughout my teenage years, I found inspiration in the craftsmanship around me - watching my father’s carpentry and working alongside a potter, where I learned the values of patience and precision. These lessons continue to shape my approach to photography, guiding me to take the time to connect with each person I photograph, understand their story, and reflect their true essence through my work.
I believe every individual carries a story worth telling. My humanitarian portraiture serves as a visual record of these narratives - capturing moments of vulnerability, strength, and grace. My hope is that these images spark reflection, inspire empathy, and remind us of our shared humanity.
